Life's Little Updates

Hello, Hi, Howdy :)

It's been some time...

Lots going on in my life of recent times; holiday, my grandad's passing, funeral and wake, redundancy risk at work (ok now), money problems, good times, bad times, drunk times, life.

(and too much thinking about tattoos...)

Blogging has been at the back of my mind, though not forgotten, as I'm always thinking 'I must blog/I need to blog about this and that'.

This post is just a little update, sharing some things and all that.

Firstly, Halloween has been and gone. We spent 6 hours travelling home from our holiday in Great Yarmouth and after a nap, I really wasn't feeling up for going out but didn't want to miss Halloween.

I went as Beetlejuice (or Beetlejuicy, maybe...)

The following day was Day of the Dead. I had the day off, a lazy day. So I woke up and painted my face, as you do...

 

I was then gutted to find out this week, that I had been invited to Schwarzkopf's Ultra Brights event, which was on that Thursday and I could have gone, as I was off work but didn't see the email until this week, so gutted about that!

On to the hair...

The Raspberry Rebel has faded out a lot now, after about 10+ washes.

I am once again rocking multi-coloured hair but am still getting compliments, strange.

More announcements came this week...

I was already extremely happy with the headline acts: Slipknot, Iron Maiden and Rammstein.

Then they announced:

Queens of the Stone Age, Thirty Seconds To Mars, THE GASLIGHT ANTHEM, Motorhead, HIM and Alice in Chains

and one extra on Scuzz TV...

A Day To Remember!!! This made me (and a lot of people, judging on comments and the UK Twitter Trending!) very very happy. I love ADTR.

Some good acts announced, I did a sad little scream and got all 2007 me excited when they said 30 Seconds to Mars. I've seen them 8(?) times in the past, 5 in 2007 when I first discovered them. I've met the band (Hello, Jared Leto!!) a few times, one of my best memories. and I've been impatiently awaiting them to return with tour and new material. I CAN NOT WAIT.

So, tonight I fell asleep on my bed, then came online to discover a few exciting things...

1. Disney have a new Wizard of Oz movie out, Oz The Great and Powerful. March 8th 2013 UK people :)

2. Disney have a Little Mermaid Hotel...yes, A LITTLE MERMAID HOTEL...WITH LITTLE MERMAID ROOMS AND GIANT CHARACTERS OUTSIDE!!!!! OH MY.

So, I've planned my trip online, haha! £1672.35 each for 2 people, 2 weeks in July (my birthday included!!), including flights, Little Mermaid room and 14 day Disney Ultimate Park Pass. I NEED TO GO.

3. Talia Castellano, YouTube.

I've just watched a couple of videos but plan to watch more when I have some time.

Talia is 13 years young and fighting 2 types of cancer; MDS and Nueroblastoma. She describes makeup as her 'wig', a way of making her happy and inspiring others.

Quick Post :)

Good Afternoon :)

I haven't got time to do a proper post today, lame, I know! I am about to enter a complete panic-rush in prep for tonight's gig in Birmingham! I'm leaving to drive there in approx 2 hours 40 mins and am still stuck between 2 outfits and I am currently feeling pretty crap too :-(

But still, I'm going to see Kids in Glass Houses!!!!

Woo!

This will be the 8th or 9th time...9th I think, that I have seen them and I still get excited every time <3

Random Round-up: What a Day :)

What a day!

So, I was going to have a break from posting tonight, but I am a Blogging Addict, so here is a post!

Firstly, today has been exciting :)
You may have seen last nights post on my Batiste Cherry inspired nails...

Well, through the wonder that is Twitter, Batiste discovered my nails and loved them :) Yay! I received some lovely comments, a re-tweet, a follow, a FB share and they are sending me a Cath Kidston cherry umbrella...!  

Too happy :)
That totally cheered up my work day :)
Words can not describe how happy I am, just to receive acknowledgement and lovely comments was enough!

My bestest, Kelly is a Doctor Who obsessive...
So, it made me laugh when she came into work today with this amazing creation, inspired by a photo she found:

 How cool is her nail?! She added the face and Fez with biro pens :)

She now has her own blog too, which is all about Doctor Who, her adventures, set visits, reviews, meet & greet experiences etc and the CONVENTION which she is going to next week!

Tonight I popped to Tesco.

I was craving the new Rockstar Xdurance energy drink, as I discovered it at Tesco in Telford on Friday night BUT...my Tesco DOES NOT HAVE ANY ROCKSTAR!!!
Anyway, I got a few bits for mum and dad (oh, looking for eggs was great fun! Determined not to look silly asking staff, I did as E.T. would and phoned home 'mum...where would I find eggs in Tesco??'
Whilst there I picked up some makeup wipes as I was in need and got a few other little bits:

Glaceau Vitamin Water, with Jessie J wigs...how cool?! On offer at £1 each. The wigs are to advertise a competition to win tickets to party with Jessie J.

 

 - Mummy Birthday Card, for my friend Jamie (he doesn't know yet but will be finding that in his letter box tomorrow!). We have a little joke and call each other Mum/Mummy/Mamma/Mother :) So I decided to get him that card haha!

- Kleenex makeup wipes, on offer at £1.49 for 24 :)
- Vivo Cosmetics Lipgloss 'Frosted Pink' £1.99 - I bought my sister this for Christmas and it is gorgeous, so I treated myself :) Last one in there!

I also spotted a LOAD of new(?) nail polishes in the Barbara Daly section that I plan to purchase some of very soon! They were all named after funfair/carnival attractions and look amaze.

Grazia Mag:

Mum rang me at work today and said that a magazine had arrived, completely confused...I then remembered I claimed a free copy of the latest Grazia through a Garnier email a while back.
YAY!

Random - Urbex:

This is totally random, but tonight I watched a program on Dubai's debt and they showed what was going to be a massive Disney theme park that was then abandoned and it reminded
me of something I discovered via an Urbex website last year...

Quick Update...

So, I planned to do one of my many planned blog posts tonight, then got carried away catching up on other girlies blogs and next thing, here I am, 12:40am on a work night and no blog post...

Tomorrow I will do a post, maybe even a couple! I literally have a list of so many upcoming posts!

General Update :)

Hello all :)

I haven't blogged since Tuesday and it seems like I have been away from Bloggerland forever!  I know, it's only been a couple of days...but it just seems longer!

I've had a busy couple of days; working and doing my NVQ work in the day, then last night we went to see Lee Evans at Manchester M.E.N. Arena.

OMG, we all know Lee Evans is funny...but you don't realise HOW funny until you see him live!  We were laughing every few seconds, for the whole 2 hours!  That man is too funny!  I went with my parents and sister, as it was a present for Donna and Dad's birthdays.  We'd always wanted to see Lee Evans but his shows always sell out, as we thought this tour had, BUT after much searching I eventually found us 4 tickets!  The arena was PACKED!

It was a great show, first time seeing a comedian, very different from all the gigs we are used to going to!  I got a headache just before Lee came on, which was annoying, as every time I laughed it was painful to do so!  Donna and I also went wearing NON-waterproof mascara (DOH!) but luckily, despite crying with laughter, there were no smudged eyes, haha :)

Ohh, we also walked through Selfridges in Manchester and past the Alexander Wang Rocco duffle bags that are popular at the moment, they are so nice!  The £730 price tag isn't so nice though :-/

Today is Dad's actual birthday.  We planned to go out for a meal, but Dad was tired after work, so we just ordered a Chinese in.

I have a lot to catch up on and post about, which I will hopefully get time to do shortly!

Also, I am also almost certain on my blog name change...just need to make a final decision on whether to do it!  Blue Eyed Blonde just doesn't seem right, as I am not blonde anymore (though I always will be on the inside and naturally!).  I miss my blonde hair :-(
