Where Have I Been?

Well, it's been 2 and a half weeks since my last post!
Not so much slacking, more I've had problems with my laptop, meaning it was unusable :( and I've also been on many adventures :)

Where have I been? Well...

Over the past few weeks, I:

Went to Manchester to meet my friend from Newcastle, have a catch up and accompany him to the football

Watched Man United v Chelsea

Went to see Bullet For My Valentine live

Walked some hills

Went to Liverpool with the bestest

Had a good old skool night out in Wellington with the bestest, after our day in Liverpool
- People don't understand how cool our Hoisin Duck Wrap Dance is!

Went to Newcastle

Saw Biffy Clyro live in Newcastle
- one of the best gigs I have been to!

Drove to Scotland
- It was cold.

Had a great Easter Bank Holiday Weekend:
Thursday Night: A quiet drink/catch-up with 2 old friends, turned fairly merry night in my fave pub!
Friday: Family walk in Carding Mill Valley, followed by a random drive to Llangollen with my cousin and friend (via a snowball fight in Chirk!)
Saturday: Hill walk with my sister, then road trip to Llangollen again but with mum and dad, walked across Pontcysyllte Aqueduct and had a meal at the Telford Inn pub at the other end
Sunday: Took my parents on a day out in North Wales: Duke of Lancaster 'Mostyn Fun Ship', Rhyl (just for a drink/toilet break!), Llandudno
Sunday: Car Wash, Telford Shopping Centre, Domino's

I've also:

Bought a bunch of Disney DVD's :)

There are Buy One Get One Free offers in a lot of shops right now, the big supermarkets and also The Disney Store. The Disney Store are cheapest, at £12.99 for 2 DVD's. The offer is on until 14th April 2013, so be quick! There are still many more I want, but I can't afford more, sadly!

Consumed a few Jack's...

Bought 20 new nail polishes, oops.

Finally got to wear my gorgeous taupe Jeffrey Campbell Spiked Lita's, that I got for Christmas :) I got some stares at the pub...

Moved to the new office, on a farm in the Shropshire countryside.

So, yeah...I've been about a little! I love adventures and I really can't stay still for long. I work all week, so when the weekend comes around, I love to make the most of them and go adventuring.

I'm so very excited for the #northmeetup this Sunday. Manchester is 1 hour 40 minutes drive, which isn't too far and is much closer than all other meet ups/events, most being London. The event has been arranged by Em Sheldon of emtalks.co.uk and it sounds like she's done a fab job of it! I really can't wait to meet other bloggers and have fun being girls :)

As for Saturday, I planned to stay at home and sort my junk/room out...but now all I want to do is go to the seaside again! We'll see...

Snow Days

Well, isn't it snowy at the moment?! Snow, it's all pretty and everything but what an inconvenience it is!
I haven't even been sledging...

I've finally been paid (hoorah!). After having next to no money for 3 weeks, following my last payday being before Christmas, it is such a relief to have money.

I'm trying to budget and not go crazy spending and ending up skint again! I'm just getting essentials (apart from the odd treat!).

Friday night I stayed in, no money - snooze!

Saturday, I drove to Lilleshall to pick my sister up and bring her home for the night. She's doing a 5-week intense personal training course at the European Institute of Fitness. We stopped by Telford on the way back and she treated me to a meal at Oscar's American Diner - yum. I then watched The Ugly Truth. Hello, Gerard Butler.

Sunday, I had to drive Donna back to Lilleshall in the snow, which had got worse! On the way home, I stopped by Telford Shopping Centre for a browse and a Subway lunch. Love Subway.
I then spent the evening watching Enchanted and Alice in Wonderland (Tim Burton's version).

Monday, I stayed in.

Last night I had a catch up with my friend Kelly. We had a Nandos, followed by Diet Cokes at the pub, then Kelly went home and I cinema-solo'd it to watch Gangster Squad. I don't like violence and guns BUT, I really enjoyed the movie. Yes, I may have gone to see it mainly for Ryan Gosling but I was surprised by how good the movie was! I have a list of upcoming movies that I plan to go see. Most will probably be cinema solo's. Team Loner! Honestly though, if you really want to do things like go to see a movie but no-one will go, don't be afraid - go alone! The cinema is dark once you are in the screening, no-one will notice. I've been to the cinema alone a few times now and it's fine. I've been repping Team Loner quite a lot in the past year, it's great to be confident and independent, not letting things pass by just because no-one will go with me!

I'm working in Stone, Staffordshire tomorrow, doing packaging sampling in a warehouse. Nuts and bolts - wahoo! It'll be nice to get out of the office and have a change for the day.

Friday, I am SO excited about. It's my friend Jilly's birthday night out in Liverpool and I am now going, after finding out rooms in the Travelodge were on sale at £25 a room - CRAZY! The hotel is right next to Liverpool One, opposite the Albert Dock and minutes from bars and clubs. My friend Jo is coming with me and we're meeting Jilly and some of her Manchester Uni pals there for a night out, followed by shopping and sightseeing Saturday. YAYAYAY :)

Lots of exciting times. Happy days.

Liverpool Day Out, OOTD & Purchases

Last Saturday, my sister and I decided to have a 'Sissy Day', as we haven't had one in a while.
We spent the night before trying to plan where to go, but didn't decide until we had been sat in my car for 10 minutes on the actual day!
We both wanted to go to the seaside but the weather was being an unpredictable ass, so we needed somewhere that was OK come rain, or shine...

Liverpool it was!

I absolutely LOVE Liverpool, it is probably my favourite city (maybe joint fave with LDN). There's so much to do and see, great shops, friendly people and so much culture, especially the music culture with The Beatles and everything. And I love my music :)

This post is now going to contain a load of photos from the day! If you dislike pic-heavy posts, sorry.

I can't believe we've never been in Cavern Walks Shopping Mall before!
Beautiful boutique shops :)

We didn't go in the club, but we went for a drink in the pub...

We also decided to check out the Tate gallery.
(I was trying to avoid shopping!)

Yes, this was 4 big old TV sets, 2 up 2 across, which came on a random times, playing videos of people walking in to a white room, 'pushing the button' and throwing up...
ART.

The view from the Tate :)

I thought this was so pretty :)

Lunch :)

My fans...

The real star of the show, the Daughter from the Sea Odyssey Giant Spectacular.

Giant 30ft moving puppet!
I imagine the people pulling the strings were rather strong.

 Fans!

Me & Donna
