Miss Sporty Dr Balm

If you read my previous post, you would have seen that I made a few little purchases on Sunday.

Well, I shouldn't have been spending money, but had a little to spare and fancied a little pick-me-up.

So, I was happy when I discovered these little babies in Boots :)

 

Miss Sporty Dr Balm

£1.99 each

They are on 3 for 2, but I wasn't overly fussed on the other shade that my local Boots had in, so I got a nail polish (see bottom of post).

Miss Sporty says:

'A healing, moisturising balm for super soft lips with a hint of colour'

There are 5 shades in total.

 They smell like watermelon/very sweet, which could be slightly sickly but the product is fab :)

So much for not buying any more lip balms...

Vaseline, Nails & a DVD :)

Second post of the day, but I just wanted to share today's findings:

My sister and I popped to Boots 'for a look'...which 90% of the time ends up with us both purchasing things, even if we didn't plan to!

But today I couldn't resist when I saw Vaseline body products at HALF PRICE!!

I've wanted to try all these for a long time, and as they were so cheap I got all 4. I have yet to try, but they smell yummy!

I also got a CUTE face cloth (above), which was £1.99.

I also thought I would show today's nails, as the girl at the till in Boots said she really liked the colour :) I like when people compliment/comment on things :)

The nail varnish is from Miss Sporty Clubbing Colors collection, it has no name, but it'd be easy to find. These are really cheap, but great quality! and the brushes are a great size, tidy and so nice to use.

Now, the next thing is totally off-topic in terms of beauty/fashion etc...but today my Play.com order arrived...

Chapter 27, the story of Mark Chapman and the murder of John Lennon.

I bought this DVD as I have always wanted to watch this, and I got it for just £3.73, free delivery! I was on Play.com to pre-order Kids in Glass Houses new album, In Gold Blood, which I still have to wait a few weeks for the release :( But I shall have a lovely, gold signed, limited edition copy, woo!

Now, the reason I wanted to watch this so much is the star of the film, Jared Leto <3 I love him! Look up 'amazing' in the dictionary and I'm sure he would come up in there ;-) Great actor, great musician (30 Seconds to Mars) and absolutely STUNNING! Even at almost 40 years old! Ahhhh :)

This is the movie he put on LOADS of weight for, and became almost unrecognisable!

Anyway, reading the back of the box, I am now really excited to watch it, intrigued by the story. So, I hope it's good! Lindsay Lohan is the leading lady though, unfortunately...So who knows!

That's all for tonight, I am now going to go paint my nails (again!) and get some sleep, work in 7 and a half hours...

Weekend Part 2: The Wedding, OOTD&N & Miss Sporty Nails

As I previously mentioned, it was my cousin Nick's wedding yesterday. Beautiful day, ceremony and dress worn by the bride, Jo.

And here's my outfit:

And the best part...THE SHOES!!

These beauties were from New Look (£29.99) and I must say, they were pretty comfy! I managed to wear them throughout the wedding AND reception, then into town afterwards (with a mere 10 minutes taking them off at home whilst changing outfits to go to town!). Considering the heel height of just over 5 inches they were very comfy and only started to hurt my feet towards to later part of the evening! And luckily there were no ankle sprains at the wedding, considering the outside of the venue was all pebble stone paths and grass for all the women to have to totter on!!

After a fun taxi drive home with my sister and cousin Matt in a taxi blasting Black Stone Cherry out loud <3 we had 10 minutes before the next taxi arrived to take us into town. I changed out of my dress and was going to relieve my feet but decided I just couldn't wear flats, so the heels went back on!

I slipped my hair up in a messy do for town as it was so hot and my hair has gone slightly kinky for the days heat! I don't usually wear my hair up, but clearly need to more often as I didn't get ID'd anywhere!! and I usually do! (I have a round, young face!!).

Today I made a quick 30 minutes dash to town before the shops shut, in search of Black Stone Cherry's new album (that the taxi driver had on!) BUT it was sold out :( I did manage to get Avenged Sevenfold's latest album though, along with My Chemical Romance's as they were 2 for £10 at HMV! Gave them both a listen on my trip up to Lyth Hill afterwards where I decided to go for a walk, much needed exercise!!

I also want to share with you a nail varnish I have fallen in LOVE with...

I put this on today as it was in my 'box of products I haven't used yet!' and think it is a beautiful colour <3

Nail varnish is by Miss Sporty, it doesn't have a name on the bottle but it is part of the Clubbing Colors range ;) They retail at £1.99 but I think I got this from Boots on 2 for £3!! BARGAIN!

The brush is fantastic, easy to use and tidy! The varnish dries in no time and the finish is lovely! I am just in love with this product!!
