Batiste Floral Dry Shampoo

It was only last week that I blogged about the exciting new variant of Batiste dry shampoo, Batiste Oriental and now, I have another new variant to share with you all!

Batiste Floral
(Not to be confused with Batiste Floral & Flirty Blush)
Once again, I was very excited to see an email pop up in my inbox, with information about the brand new Batiste Floral dry shampoo and I was very happy when Mr Postman delivered a can for me to try out.

Batiste have succeeded in creating another beautiful can design, this time a vintage-looking floral print, which is very Cath Kidston. As with all Batiste's variants, this can would make a very pretty addition to a dressing table or shelf.

Described as 'pretty & delicate', Batiste Floral is most definitely both. The floral fragrance is gorgeous, not overpowering, but stays around and keeps hair smelling fresh and floral.
"With top notes of Blossom, a heart of fruity Melon, Orange & Peach and a deep floral base of Rose, Muguet and Violet" - this is such a beautiful scented hair product, which transforms hair to look and smell super-lovely.

I really like Batiste Floral. If you are a fan of floral scents, this is a must have!

Batiste Floral is exclusive to Superdrug and retails at £2.99 for 200ml.

Will you be trying Batiste Floral?
What is your favourite variant?

Click here for my review on Batiste's other new variant, Batiste Oriental.

xXx

(Disclaimer: I was sent Batiste Floral to sample and consider for review. As per my previous Batiste posts, Batiste is a brand that I love and would highly recommend. As always, all opinions are my own and reviews are 100% honest)

Batiste Oriental Dry Shampoo

As a big fan of Batiste dry shampoo, I was very excited when an email popped up in my inbox, telling me all about the new variant, Batiste Oriental.

I was even more excited to receive a can to review and share with you all.

Firstly, what a beautiful can! Batiste always stand out with their lovely can designs but Oriental is really something special. The colours and peacock are so pretty! This would look great on a dressing table and in my opinion, Batiste's cans are much more appealing than any rival dry shampoo.

Taking inspiration from the Far East, Batiste Oriental has fruity top notes, including apple, wild berry and grape, along with floral middle notes of Jasmine and Iris, with a base of rich coconut, sandalwood and cedar.
The smell is a nice floral-oriental 'floriental' mix and leaves hair smelling great, as well as feeling fresh and looking volumised.

I wash my hair every day at the moment, as I am working out in the gym 7 days a week. Though I haven't required Batiste from freshening up my hair, it has still come in handy, as I use it between work and the gym. I spray my hair with Batiste, before tying it up in a ponytail. I find that using Batiste adds volume and just makes my ponytail a little better. I'm not a fan of slicked-back ponytails, a mattified and volumised pony is best for me!

I used Batiste Oriental the other night, as we went out for my sister's birthday meal and I wanted to add some volume to my hair.
Overall, I am loving Batiste Oriental and would highly recommend it.

Batiste Oriental makes a great addition to my collection, which I blogged about earlier this year.

Batiste Oriental is available at Boots, Superdrug, ASOS, supermarkets and various chemists. RRP £2.99.

If you would like to check out any of my previous Batiste reviews, just use the Labels to the right!

Disclaimer: I was sent a can of Batiste Oriental for review purposes. I have been a massive fan of Batiste for years and have wrote many blog posts about Batiste. As always, all opinions are my own and reviews are 100% honest.

Back to Blonde: Colour B4 Review

This is my second review of Colour B4 Hair Colour Remover (Extra Strength), so it will be a short one. If you'd like to read my full review, you can find my first Colour B4 review on my blog.

Last time, my hair went from a faded-out purple mix, to a strawberry blonde shade.

This time, my hair went from a faded-out reddish mix, to a strawberry blonde again.

I was pleasantly surprised with the end result of my second Colour B4 experience.

Before and After photos:

As you can see, Colour B4 worked really well and completely removed the reddish shade that my hair was.

Note - the darker top bit is my roots. My roots even have roots... I have a bad habit of letting my hair grow out whilst colours fade out!

I am currently using John Frieda Blonde shampoo and conditioner, in hope that this will lighten my hair a little, then I plan to dye it with the blonde John Frieda hair dye I won at the #NorthMeetUp.

Once again, the only downside is the smell. It really is quite an overpowering eggy smell, though this hasn't stayed in my hair as long this time round, phew!

Despite the smell, I would definitely recommend Colour B4 to anyone looking to remove hair dye/colour build up.

I always recommend it to people who ask about hair dye and removing colour from hair. Colour B4 is a fantastic product. It doesn't damage hair, contains no bleach or ammonia and works wonders!

Colour B4 is priced at £11.99 but can sometimes be found on offer. (I got 2 for 1 at Superdrug last year!). Colour B4 can be purchased at Boots, Superdrug, selected supermarkets, pharmacies and online.

Have you tried Colour B4?

xXx

Disclaimer: Product purchased with my own money during Superdrug's 2 for 1 offer last summer. However, I do have a box that Colour B4 (Medichem) kindly sent me, which I will use in the near future, as I have lots of exciting plans for my hair, so Colour B4 will come in handy :)

My Batiste Dry Shampoo Collection

Yes, I have a Batiste dry shampoo 'collection'...

Over the past year or so, I have gathered quite the collection of Batiste cans.

I love Batiste!
Seriously, dry shampoo is one of the best beauty product inventions, ever.

Batiste is a saviour.
No more bad hair days, just Batiste Hair Days!
#BatisteHairDay
Batiste is my favourite dry shampoo. I've tried others and none have lived up to Batiste's standards! Batiste is cheaper, the product works better, it does not leave hair heavy or chalky and the can designs are so pretty. Batiste have 3 sizes: mini, regular and large.

They come in handy.
They last so long.
The bottles are pretty.

The above being main reasons for which I have such a large collection! I can't get rid of them and I often pick up cans if they are on offer, or when new variants are released.

I'm a hoarder and I hoard Batiste...

I use my Batiste, not only on days where I haven't had time to wash my hair, or my hair is feeling like it needs a freshen up, but also, when I want some volume or matt-look hair.
Having long hair, I do find that smells cling to it, like the greasy spoon deli where I would return from the milk run, to then sit in the office with hair smelling of grease (nothing really worse than that, yuck!). Luckily, I always have a can of Batiste in my office drawer, or in my handbag, so I use it to freshen my hair and rid me of horrendous smells.

It is a complete essential when I rock out at Download Festival every summer. I always have a can of Batiste in my tent. Gotta keep fresh whilst I'm rocking out and partying in fields :) I met a guy at Download last year, who had a large can of Batiste Tropical in his tent, I thought that was quite cool. Guys love Batiste too.

Even when I had crazy Cyber Purple hair, Batiste worked a treat! Unlike another dry shampoo, which looked hideously chalky on my purple locks!

Where do I store all these cans?
Well, I keep them in the goodie bag that I got at the Batiste Lace launch last year. I like to find ways to re-use, rather than throw things away and the Batiste bag has really come in handy.

A while back, I had some nail art inspiration from the Batiste Cherry, when it first came out in stores. My Batiste Cherry inspired nail art went down a storm, which was great and Batiste loved it :)

I would recommend Batiste and often recommend it to friends, family and fellow bloggers.
I'm always shocked when people tell me they have not tried it, or not heard of Batiste before!

There are so many variants now, different looks, different scents, XXL Volume. I'm not sure I could pick a favourite, though I have always been fond of Wild.

My collection includes:
Shimmer x2, Boho, XXL x2, Blush large, Limited Edition Hershesons, Graffiti, Paisley
Lace x2, Cherry x2, Wild, Tropical regular and mini, Blush mini x2

 A closer look...
Paisley and Graffiti, the most recent variants*:

Hershesons, the Limited Edition can*:

 Blush, Tropical and Boho:
I have the original Blush mini and the new, improved design, along with a regular size.
Tropical mini and regular.
Boho, I actually didn't realise I had, until I found it in my 'box of unused products'.

XXL Volume:
1 purchased and 1* from the #NorthMeetUp goodie bag.
Read about the event here and the goodie bag here.

Silver Shimmer:
I got these on offer in Boots clearance.
Glittery dry shampoo!

I have also reviewed:
Batiste Lace and you can read about the fabulous Batiste Lace launch event here.
Batiste Cherry - you can check out my cherry nail art there too...

I remember when there was just 1 Batiste, Original. It's great to see how many they have since released!
For more information on Batiste variants, click here.
There are a couple not on here, including the Wild Party Trio of minis, which was released around Christmas. I haven't tried those!
More recently, Batiste have introduced coloured dry shampoo to the collection.
I can't wait for Batiste to bring out their next variant and I'm excited to find out what the next one will be!

Batiste can be found in Boots, Superdrug, Bodycare, supermarkets, pharmacies, online.

Are you a Batiste fan?
Have you tried Batiste?

Just call me Zoe, the Batiste Queen...

Disclaimer: This post was written by me, out of my own love for the brand. This is not a sponsored post and I have not been asked to write this. I just love Batiste dry shampoo and want to share/product rave about them! A couple of the bottles in this post were gifted to me, or included in goodie bags from events, but the majority were purchased by me, with my own money. As always, all opinions are my own and reviews are 100% honest.

Batiste Paisley and Graffiti

They've done it again, Batiste have released yet more fabulous new dry shampoos to keep the countries hair smelling fresh and looking great!

I was recently sent Batiste’s 2 newest variants to try out, many thanks to Batiste for making me very happy.

Yes, I am a Batiste-aholic.

Both scents are very different, one edgy musky, one fruity floral. I couldn’t choose a favourite.

The cans are gorgeous, I really love that Batiste design their cans so pretty, a nice addition to a dressing table, bathroom, office or in your handbag. Eye-catching, as ever!

Once again, the same great quality, as expected from Batiste.

Even with my Raspberry Rebel hair and now my faded 'aumtumnal' hair, this has worked a treat, leaving no powdery white/grey hair, impressive!

Batiste Paisley and Graffiti are available from all good pharmacists, including Boots and Superdrug, RRP £2.99 (200ml).

Batiste also have a super-cute mini kit out for Christmas, that would make a great gift, stocking filler or just a little self-treat. I must pick up one of these from Boots!

I would also like to take a moment to congratulate Batiste on their recent award winnings, well done!

Have you tried Batiste?
Have you read my recent review of the Limited Edition Hershesons Batiste?

Disclaimer: Products sent for me to review by Batiste. I am a huge fan of Batiste, a Batiste-aholic, infact. I can’t recommend them enough! You can find many other posts about Batiste on my blog.

- Hershesons website.

I was recently sent Batiste's new Limited Edition Hershesons dry shampoo to try out, very exciting.

The pretty polkadot can contains is the Original Batiste variant.

As with all Batiste products, this has worked wonders to revive my hair in times of dullness or when it needs a little freshen up.

As a hoarder, I will most probably end up keeping the can once I have finished with the product...it's too pretty to throw away!

Retails at £5.50 (200ml) and is available at Hershesons salons, or online. Though buying online means paying postage, which is £5.95.

Good news! ASOS stock Hershesons Batiste and offer free standard delivery.

Are you a Batiste fan?
I've got reviews on a couple more of Batiste's new dry shampoos to come soon, so check back for those :)

Lush VIP Haircare Launch Party at Lush Telford

Last night, my sister and I went to the Lush store in Telford for the VIP Haircare Launch Party.

Champagne, strawberries and some very tasty chocolate truffles, spoilt.

Even better, the event was free to attend.

To start with, we had an introduction to the 8 new haircare products.

Some of the products I wasn't keen on scent-wise but a few I really want to try!

After the presentation, we were then let loose on the store, trying out different products and sniffing everything, as you do in Lush, haha!

We then had arm massages. I chose Soft Coeur Massage Bar, which was massaged in to my arm, followed with some Vanilla Puff dusting powder. My arm still smells amazing today! I was trying not to spend any money due to saving for London on Monday but I couldn't resist. I bought Soft Coeur and Vanilla Puff! I did good though, as there was SO much I wanted, including a few of the new products :)

We were then shown the Emotional Brilliance collection and had a go on the wheel.

My results were:

Drive, Calm and Decisive.

I tried Drive as a lipstick, as I love purple lips.

One of the guys had 2 of the Emotional Brilliance colours in his hair, which I originally thought was actual hair dye, it looked very cool!

Here's some photos from the night:

Donna wearing Charm as lipstick
I dislike this photo, but this is Drive.
 and here's my goodies:
Purchases:
Soft Coeur Massage Bar £4.75
Vanilla Puff Dusting Powder £4.50

Samples:
I also picked up a copy of Lush Times, to tempt me even more!

Donna and I had a fab couple of hours at the party.
Thanks to the lovely guys and girls at Lush Telford :)

Go check out the new haircare products when you can, there's some good ones!
The products are also available online on the Lush website.

xXx

(I'm going to do a Weekend in Outfits post for this weekend, so details about my OOTN will be in that :) I'm now going to get ready and head off for an afternoon and evening in Blackpool. Road trip, Illuminations, yay!)

My Colour B4 Story

Oh My, I haven't blogged in over 3 weeks...
Apologies for being a poop blogger!

Life has been so hectic, but fun :)

Tonight's post is my experience with Colour B4 (Extra Strength) following on from my last post about my Hair Colour Dilemma...
(Thank you for all the lovely comments on that post, they made me smile!)

I decided to go for it and get my sister to Colour B4 my hair.

Parting with the faded out purple/multi-coloured hair was tough. Made worse by the fact people were still telling me they liked it and that it was cool up until the day I Colour B4'd!

Anyway, here's some photos...

(Excuse un-made-up face! and Good Charlotte tee from 2007 tour, muaha)

Kit

Part of the process, wrap your head in cling film to keep the heat in and help the product work!
(What a vile photo, haha!)
Had to sit like this for 60 minutes, fun.

Results straight after using Colour B4:

The next day, after another wash:

Before and After:

My Thoughts:

Overall I found that the product did as it was supposed to, so I'm pretty pleased and would recommend.
I knew it would leave a brassy tone, but it's quite an interesting one and I've had compliments on it.
I will be colouring my hair again very soon, I'm just rocking this shade out for a little while :)
Still not sure what colour to go next and I still have Chocolate Brown, Cyber Purple and Red Berry Passion dye at home!

Apparently my current shade is somewhere between ginger, strawberry blonde, peach, blonde, brassy blonde and also pinkish tones - so say friends and family!
Definitely a shade I've not been before anyway...

The only problem I had with Colour B4 is the smell...
The smell, it's so damn nasty!
Think eggy fart gas, not nice.
and I don't seem to be able to get rid of it, after many washes, sprays, perfumes, hair products, Batiste, etc :(
If anyone has any suggestions, please help! It has got milder now though...
Colour B4 contains no ammonia or bleach, which is also a big plus!

Other than the smell, the product is good, left me hair feeling soft and not dried out at all!
It pretty much works miracles.
I do have roots though, which is my fault for using it with such bad roots, not sure how to even my hair out...

Colour B4 is available at Boots, Superdrug and possibly other chemists.
I got mine on offer, 2 for 1 from Superdrug months ago! £11.99 for 2 boxes (yeah, I still have another box...).

Have you tried Colour B4?
Thoughts?

I hope you are all well :)
I'll hopefully be getting more posts out from now on, must stop slacking and get back into blogging!
It's been my 25th birthday and everything.
So much to blog about!

xXx
