On Thursday night I went to Telford for some very last minute (45 mins!) late-night shop! I went to grab a plain white tee and just for something to do...
I left with said tee, a bra (which I 'kinda' needed), a scarf and THE fish dress!
The Primark fish dress, as featured in a few magazines and on a few
websites over the past month. Set to be a sell out, the dress is a tulip
shape, with a gorgeous colourful underwater fish print.
At just £17, it looks like it should be about £40 from Topshop or River Island. What a bargain.
The dress is a lovely fit, fitted at the top, with a high neckline and tulip shaped bottom half.
This has only just come in at my nearest Primark and I wasn't expecting to see it, so as soon as I did, I just had to get it! I am supposed to be saving my money for Download and the 6 days off that I have before and after the festival but I couldn't let this one go and potentially lose out on owning this beautiful piece. The seams had a few bits of thread sticking out, but that was only noticeable on my close inspection (which I generally do when shopping these days!) but the other dress in my size, whilst having better seams had a different design. It appears that the print slightly differs between these dresses, with the print being positioned different. I preferred the one that I originally picked up, so I stuck with it. This one had the big bunch of fishys at the bottom, the other didn't.
Similar to the Mary Katrantzou Topshop dress that was out not so long
ago but a heck of a lot cheaper! And cuter, in my opinion!
I love this dress and can't wait to wear it out :) I just wish my hair still matched my darker purple extensions (or that I had red hair) because I think it'd look so cute and mermaidy. Love anything with mermaids!
I will do an outfit post when I wear it!
The other bits I got are nothing worth shouting about, the white tee was £3 and is just for Download, the bra was £6 and is for with my white tops (as my white bras are currently missing in my room!) and the scarf was a 'on the way to the till grab' and cost just £4. It is an oversized scarf, which if you are familiar with Primark's oversized scarfs, you will know that they are HUGE! I love this leopard/skull print and thought it'd be good to keep me warm whilst chilling in the fields late night/early hours of the morning at Download :)
I also tried this super-cute Minnie Mouse top but left it for now, needed to restrict my spending!
I went to Primark last weeked too and will do a post of that haul very soon, mainly Download bits and bobs!
I have lots of posts lined up, as always! Hoping to get some time to do posts in between my adventures during my 11 day break, which has now officially begun, woo hoo!
I hope you all have a lovely long weekend :)
