Wants :)

Hello All :)

Tonight I wanted to share with you a few new products which are on my 'Wish List', which I sadly can't afford at the moment :(

Firstly, a new fragrance...Diesel Loverdose

I saw this in Boots yesterday and was attracted by the look of it, so I COVERED myself in it, before heading back to work.
At first I thought 'Oh Good Gosh, this is strong!!', and to be honest, I wasn't keen, then I saw a sign describing it as 'Liquorice Vanilla', ah...that would be it!
Throughout the afternoon back in the office the smell started to grow on me and I began to like it. Hours later I could still smell it and I think I like it :)
Go check it out! But don't judge on the immediate smell, give it chance to settle ;)

Next up:
Lime Crime Lip Noir Lipstick's

'Chinchilla'

Described as 'Medium grey with lavender undertones' and looking cute in a 'different' way, I want! A few years back I bought a lilac Barry M lippie as I like to experiment with colours, and not many people would wear lilac lipstick. I got great reactions to it and I love it, I just haven't used it recently due to having purple hair now. The same applies with all my other light and dark purple lippies, including my MAC VV and WW lipsticks :( One of the bums of having purple hair! But the Chinchilla lipstick really reminds me of the Barry M one, but with a more grey look :)

and another Lime Crime Lip Noir Lipstick...
'Styletto'

Black lipstick...Gothic? Glam? I don't know, but I have always wanted to try a proper black lipstick :)
(Photo's from Lime Crime)

Lime Crime can be purchased from Space NK for all you UK girlies :) I got my Lime Crime 'Countessa Fluorescent ' from the Space NK store in Chester.

Me sporting Countessa Fluorescent :) Excuse the shiny forehead!

What do you think of 'different/out-there' lip colours?

A 'V' Good Day :)

and so the story goes...

Me & my friend Kelly got in to work last Friday morning, neither of us planning on going to V Festival. Kelly's boyfriend was there with his friends, as seemed to be everyone else! With no plans for the weekend, and the knowledge that:

1. Kids in Glass Houses were there (one of our favourite bands!)
2. Bruno Mars was there (who Kelly really wanted to see again, after seeing just a few nights earlier!)
3. Lostprophets were there, Kelly had never seen them, and I saw them twice in 2007 and they were amazing!

So...we both mentioned wishing we were going, briefly discussed the prospect of buying tickets...then our hopes were crushed! There was just ONE single ticket left on sale...yes, one lonely ticket! Sadness set in :(

We considered our options, now desperate to go! Risk finding a tout there? Buy on Ebay and pray they arrive and are genuine?

Eventually we called a ticket broker with great feedback, and the deal was made, 2 tickets for Sunday at Weston Park :)

7am the next morning I was woken from my sleep on the sofa (I fell asleep there the night before!) by LOUD banging on the door, I wondered what was going on, then thought TICKETS!! So, in shame, I ran and answered the door, in the day before's clothes and make-up (gross!) and the tickets were in my hand!

The tickets were genuine, HURRAH!

So now, here is my little review and some photos (including OOTD) :)

Kids in Glass Houses Gig & Birmingham Shopping :)

On Tuesday 16th August me & my sister Donna went off to Birmingham to see one of my favourite bands, Kids in Glass Houses <3

The gig was in one of the smallest venues of the HMV Institute, and was part of their launch of the new album, In Gold Blood. The band performed (a range of songs from all of their albums), did a Q&A with the fans, then ended with a signing and photo opportunity :) Great way to thank the fans for their support <3
In Gold Blood came out the day before and I was very excited to receive my pre-ordered, Limited Edition (1 of 1000) gold signed CD at work on the Monday morning :)

In Gold Blood, With Gold Nails :)
Amazing album <3

Finally got the tee I have wanted for years! and it cost just £7 :)
Love zebras and love KIGH, perfect tee!

I decided to book the Wednesday off work, and stay over in Birmingham after the gig Tues. I got a room at the newly opened Central Bullring Travelodge for just £25.50, bargain!

I find it impossible to travel light!
 Cosmetics :)

Me being all smiley, excited for the gig :)

Black glitter thigh-high boots, Evans

Birmingham looking pretty, a drastic change from a week earlier when the riots were happening!

Aled signing <3 I found it hard to get any good photos with the lighting!

Me, chatting away (suffering verbal diarrhoea!) with Aled at the signing <3

Me & Aled.
I don't like me in this pic, but hey! So far I have photos of me and Aled when I had black hair (wow, mistake!), bright blonde, and now purple!!

A bunch of great guys, in a great band, who create great music <3

Nails ~ Eyes ~ Outfit

Here be the post that was to follow my last, but due to the mentioned laptop issues, then being out all day and night yesterday I was unable to do until now.

An All-in-One post covering my nails, eye make-up & outfit from Saturday's shopping trip :)

The Nails:

Finally got round to using the blue Barry M Nail Effects crackle nail varnish, I wasn't sure what colours it would really work with!

A bit shabby as I was rushing and only put 1 coat of the Sherbet Lemon on.

Used as top coat, it can also be used as base coat, or alone :)

The Eyes:

Got a bit creative with the eyes :)
Vanilla & Curfew eye shadows from Primark 'Sant or Sinner' palette (which I got for £1 in Jan sales! 10 great colours!)
No.7 gel eyeliner 'Blue' (from Limited Edition Spring Collection)
Accessorize Collagen Mascara 'Black'

The Outfit:

Vest, Pull & Bear
Denim skirt, Next (old!)
Leggings, George @ Asda
Bag, Paul's Boutique
Peacock feather print bangle, Claire's Accessories

A closer look at the Pull & Bear vest (just because it is cool!). I got this months ago in Liverpool and kinda never got round to wearing 'til now!

And before heading off shopping...I was awoken (from falling asleep on the sofa in the previous nights clothes and make-up!) at 7am, to banging on the front door...I wondered what it was, then realised that something very special that I ordered just the day before was waiting for me at my front door...

That's right, V Festival baby <3

V-Fest post to follow :)

Hope you all had a great weekend. Did anyone else go to V?

xXx
