Primark Angelica Nail Colour 'Holiday Fun'

Hello All :)

In my last post, I mentioned the Angelica nail polishes, which I bought in Primark during my Birmingham hauling.

Last night I finally got round to trying one of them, Holiday Fun.

I was a bit worried after discovering that it appeared to have dried up slightly when I took it out of the bag, however, all is OK! Phew.

Angelica nail polishes are new to Primark. With so many to choose from, I was spoilt for choice but as I was in the moving queue I just grabbed this and Magnetic for now.
I will report back on Magnetic when I have tried it :)
This cost just £2.50, beautiful bargain!

With flash.

Bumps shown.

My Thoughts:
Gorgeous colour.
2 coats.
Quick drying but a little gloopy/sticky when applying (with some random bumps, seen on photos).
Great price.

and is it just me, or does this look a little like Illamasqua 'Stance'?

and then tonight, THIS happened...

Nice.

Have you tried Angelica nail polish?

Birmingham Haul

Hello Lovelies :)

A few weeks ago I went to Birmingham for a Thursday night away with my friend. Jo.
We planned to go check out the Selfridges Girls Night In event, but it didn't seem to be on :-( No treatments, no champagne and no cupcakes!
Anyway, we had a shop, ate a Nando's, then had a girly night out, followed by a little more shopping/browsing the following day.

We had fun :)

I treated myself to a few bits whilst in Birmingham...

Primark:

Excuse edge of bed!

My Little Pony Tee £6
Neon Yellow Top £5
Car Print Crop £6
You can see how I style the MLP and neon tops here :)

Nail Polishes in Holiday Fun (neon purple) and Magnetic (silver/rainbow glitter) £2.50 each
- I saw these on Lucy's blog a while ago and was excited to find the Angelica stand in Birmingham Primark :) So much choice! I have yet to use these, as I kinda forgot about them...I just got them out the bag and the purple was drying up :-/ So we'll see how they are and I'll report back to you all!

Urban Outfitters:

Nail Polish in Twinkie £6
(Review on this soon! On first try I would not recommend, sadly! But I am going to give it a second chance...)

Selfridges:

MAC Creme Cup Lipstick £13.50
- I actually bought a MAC lipstick that isn't a Limited Edition/Collection one!
Yes, another MAC lipstick :)

HMV:

Nicki Minaj 'Pink Friday: Roman Reloaded' CD £10

River Island:

NYX Nail Polish (yes, more nail polish!) in NPS139 Precious Gems £4.50

and I just HAD to have this when I saw it...

Mermaid blouse £25
I LOVE all things mermaid and this is beautiful!

I also picked up some random bits from the Spar!
Kerrang, just because.
Rainbow Drops, going back to childhood!
and WKD, going back to the early drinking days...hey, we needed some cheap pre-drinks!

I may aswell add this here, as it's not had a post to fit in to...

I got this blouse from Asda a few weeks back, just before Birmingham.
I saw it weeks earlier but wasn't 100% sure but waiting paid off, reduced to £5, had to get it!
Mum said she was horrified when she saw it hanging in my room but liked it on.
Here's how I styled it :)

I also picked up some of my usual purple hair dye, even though I'm still not decided on re-doing the purple yet...but it was on offer at £2.79 in Superdrug. The dye which I use is Schwarzkopf Live Color XXL 46 Cyber Purple. When my hair is dyed it looks something like this...

Not the faded out colour that it currently is!

But I am stuck on what to do...
Purple again, back to blonde, red, brown, ???

Help...

I still need to catch up on the lovely comments left on my previous posts but am currently in a rush to get ready for Lostprophets gig in Birmingham later! Well, I say later, Kelly is going to be at mine in 30 mins, AHHH!! Will catch up on comments tomorrow :)

(This post was live an hour or so ago, but I forgot my River Island purchases so had to edit!)

Barry M 'Silvery Lilac' Nail Polish

Last night I showed you Denim, one of the new polishes from Barry M and now I present you the second polish I bought yesterday...

Silvery Lilac (324)

I was unsure about this at first, as I don't usually go for light/silver/lilac polishes. Having pale skin I don't think they always suit very well, but I liked the look of this (despite it looking a tad like my Lilac Foil Effect polish - it turns out to be different).

The polish is so pretty.
2 coats used.
Silvery lilac with a lovely green tint and nicely shimmery.
The usual great quality from Barry M, quick drying, great finish etc.
and once again, only £2.99!
(I purchased on buy 2 save £1 at Superdrug.  Boots 3 for 2 looks to have finished tonight, from what I saw during a cheeky look there this evening, sad times!)

The above 2 pics show how different the polish looks depending on lighting/shade, pretty!

I really am loving the new Barry M polishes so far and can't wait to get my hands on the Magnetics!

I also have some more Model's Own polishes on my wish list :)

It's clear that I have a nail polish problem...

Will you be purchasing this?
What is your favourite Barry M polish from the new collection?

Barry M 'Denim' Nail Polish

Today I received a little refund money, hoorah!

So, what did I do??

Well, I went up to town on my lunch break, treated myself to a Waitrose lunch...and bought some nail polishes, of course!

Serious nail polish addict.

I was shocked to discover that Superdrug actually had ALL the new Barry M polishes!
- It is very rare that we get new stuff in so soon, let alone the whole collection!

I didn't even realise there was new Barry M polishes, until it popped up on the Barry M Facebook page on Sunday :-o
- I was also saddened to learn that Once Upon a Time has been discontinued :-(
I hope mine does not ever dry out, or I will be very sad indeed!

Enough rambling, spoilt for choice but trying to be sensible until pay day, I decided to just get 2 today, so I got Denim and Silvery Lilac.

Superdrug have an offer, buy 2 and save £1. However, I believe Boots still have 3 for 2 on.
£2.99 each.

Barry M's new polishes look so good, I've been wondering what they will come up with next and never expected a load of new polishes released at once! I particularly love the look of the Magnetics :) Next on my list!

Barry M never let me down!

Tonight I am sporting Denim (325)...

Denim goes on glossy but dries matte.
It has a lovely silver shimmer to it.
Dries quickly.
One coat only required.
and it really has a denim effect!

- I love this.

Without flash.

Here's both Denim and Silvery Lilac:

Silvery Lilac review to follow :)

What do you think of Barry M's new offerings?
Will you be purchasing any of these?

Nicki Minaj - Pink Friday: Roman Reloaded, Album Review/Rave

Hello All

A different post for me tonight...

Album review.

I just have to rave about this.

Nicki Minaj's second offering, Pink Friday: Roman Reloaded.

I bought this whilst in Birmingham last weekend, after choosing it over Lostprophets Weapons (sin!), but my dad kindly treated me to that a couple of days later in Gloucester, yay! - May do a review on that too?
I would love feedback on my little review, whether you'd like to see more like this, etc :)

I love music and listen to many genres, I'm more of a rock chick but I have a place in my heart for most music.

To begin, this album is even better than Pink Friday.
Second album better than the first? Well done, Nicki.

(Nails: Superdry Electric Pink with Urban Outfitters Twinkie over - new, post soon)

(Nails: Model's Own Indian Ocean)

Containing everything from hip hop (with lots of rapping), to cheesy pop/Eurodance tracks, to a few slower songs.

There are A LOT of explicits in this album, as pointed out by the lads tonight when I played the album in my car.
and only Nicki Minaj could get away with saying 'D**k in your face, put my d**k in your face', in such a girly way, haha!

I am totally over-playing this album at the moment!

My favourite songs are:

Tracks 10-14 - 'the cheesy pop/Eurodance ones', absolutely great for getting ready for a night out, I may dance round my bedroom, singing to these...
Track 15 - Marilyn Monroe 'Call it a curse, or just call me blessed, if you can't handle my worse, you ain't getting my best' - love.

I am starting to listen to more of the other songs now, as I have mainly been skipping straight to the above tracks because I can't get enough of them.

There are 19 tracks in total, which is a lot. One thing about this album is that there aren't really any songs that make me want to skip past them (unless skipping to the mentioned above!) and I can easily listen to the entire album without getting bored, no matter how many times I listen to it!!

This album has attitude.

Artwork:

The album artwork is somewhat overly-sexualised on the inside, with photos of Nicki in underwear, splattered in paint, but brilliant at the same time, as the whole album is designed with paint splattered everywhere, being very colourful and girly!

I would recommend this album, as long as you don't mind explicit language...

Are you a Nicki fan?
Do you have this album?
Do you plan to purchase?

Weekend in Outfits #2

Happy Weekend All :)

Today has been another almost write-off of a day...
For someone who rarely drinks, I have done bad the past fair few Friday nights, but it is all fun and games!
*I do not condone drinking*

Had some great times with great friends though.
I nearly didn't drink last night, as I have been feeling very down recently and wasn't sure drinking was best but I am glad I did because it really cheered me up having a good time, having a ball with friends last night :)

I've also been slacking with blogging again, not helped with my mood this week and lack of enthusiasm in general but I do need to get cracking on back-logged posts!
