Boudoir Prive October - My First Beauty Box :)

Hey girls :)

So I got home from work today (after getting frustrated, impatiently waiting at the office for a delivery) and found that my Boudoir Prive box was waiting for me! I didn't realise I had put my home address for delivery. What a nice surprise for the day :)

I opened the outer packaging to reveal the gorgeous pink box, which is reusable and will certainly be reused! There is a lot of packaging (tut tut Boudoir Prive), but it does add to the look and feel! and I shall recycle and reuse everything that I can, naturally. Everything looked so pretty, adding to my excitement.

Without hesitation, I opened the wrapping to find 9 great products!

What's in the box?
- Rose & Co Apothecary Rose Petal Salve (20g)
- StudioMakeUp Line Styler Pen 'Blackest Black' (1.1ml)
- Memo Paris Les Echappees 'Inle' Eau De Parfum (small sample bottle)
- Korres Guava Body Butter (50ml)
- Leonor Greyl Palme (25ml)
- Cetuem SCR Gold Illuminating Mask (5ml)
- Cetuem SCR Gold Creme De Lite (5ml)

The Extras
- Zoya Nail Varnish 'Jem' (7.5ml)
- Tropic Body Smooth (small pot)

I got 2 extra products from last month's box, as I received an email saying if I registered by Midnight on the set date I would receive these. This sold it to me, though I forgot about it and ended up completing my order at 11:59pm!! I did wonder if I would have made it in time to get the extra 2 products, and it seems I did, yay!

Brands
The products were all by brands I had not heard of, except Zoya nail varnish, of which I was sent a stunning colour (the best IMO), Jem - a dark pinky/purple glitter varnish. There was also a plastic nail set, with samples of all of Zoya's Smoke and Mirrors nail varnishes. This is a good way of showing what colours are available, though it is also pretty wasteful as lots of people now have a plastic cover, with leaflet and plastic nail display piece of not much use! I figured I will probably keep mine for my dressing table display (whenever I get and sort this!).

Overview/Favourites
I will and have already (yes!) used all the products. They wouldn't necessarily be things I would go out and buy, but it is nice to have a sample of different products and a nice treat.

The eyeliner is great, the nail varnish is gorgeous and the Guava Body Butter is just yummy!

The Rose Petal Salve is a nice product too, though I covered my lips in this and could taste the Roses...which was slightly wrong! It is described as 'An excellent all-round salve', for dry lips, rough skin, lashes and brows and 'anywhere you need a little shine!'. I also tried it on my lashes and eczema!
Value For Money
With the eyeliner being worth £12 alone and the Rose Petal Salve being £5, the box is worth a lot more than the £10 you pay!

Above (more towel turban shots lol!): wearing the StudioMakeUp Line Styler Pen, which I was pleased to find was not a random colour, it is Blackest Black :)

More Overview
My sister was fascinated by the box, being sceptical at first, until I opened it. Now she wants a beauty box!

This is my first beauty box and I am impressed! Now I have a problem...I don't know whether to stay with Boudoir Prive, or try another box! There are a few now and I've heard mixed reviews on them. Anyone got any advice?? Recommendations?

More Info
Boudoir Prive boxes are £10 per month, with free delivery and you can sign up at http://www.boudoirprive.co.uk/.

Frontcover Style Queen - The Swatches

Hey girlies :)

Hope you are all well!

So, as promised, here is an indepth look and swatches of the Frontcover Style Queen box, which is currently Boots Star Gift of the Week!

Oh, how I searched like a mad woman for this...
Read the story here.

So, there we have it! My overall impression is that the box is good, with lots included in there for your money. I probably wouldn't pay full price, just because the shades aren't ones I tend to wear. I don't usually use most of the colours of eyeshadow that come in this set but I'll give them a try! My only 'issue' is with the lip glosses, just in terms of shades and that you can't re-apply/top up when out (unless you have a large handbag and wish to carry the whole set around! But, for £17 for all this, who can complain?!
The brush set included is a big plus for me.
I really like the Domed Baked eyeshadows :)
This would make a great gift for Christmas!

Frontcover Style Queen (Boots Star Gift of the Week) & ASOS Sale

Hey girlies :)

So, I am back from my fun weekend away! That means back to blogging :)

Firstly, I want to talk (again) about Boots Star Gift of the Week.

Frontcover Style Queen
Better than Half Price: £35, down to £17
Offer available: Friday 14th - Friday 21st October
SOLD OUT online!

Now, you may have seen that last week I posted about the Frontcover Style Queen box and how I was after it. Well...I went in to Boots on the day of it coming on offer (Friday) and saw LOADS there but decided I would wait until I was in Liverpool on Monday to buy...bad idea!
Liverpool had sold out!
When we got home from our weekend away later that night I had a look on the Boots website and was gutted to see they had also sold out!
This evening I went to Boots at the retail park and...yes, they had sold out too!! At this point I was totally gutted!
My last resort (without going into town) was the retail parks in Telford, so I hopped back in the car and headed up to Wrekin Retail Park in Telford where I found 3 boxes remaining...YES!!!!

So, without hesitation I bought one :) WIN!

I will post swatches ASAP, probably tomorrow ;-)

Next up...
ASOS Sale!
Tonight I went on the ASOS website, just for a browse and discovered they have a sale, with quite a few good bits in the Beauty section.
I made a few purchases...
I shall keep them a secret til they arrive, but go check out the sale, there are some good offerings ;-)

Also...
Wanting to change my blog name...

I have been wanting to change my blog name pretty much since I created my blog, as I am not overly keen on the name, the URL and also when Googled 'Blue Eyed Blonde' does not come up with the best results :-/ Some slightly dodgy!
I have read that changing blog names and URL's shouldn't be a problem, and that everything will remain the same in terms of posts and Followers...I hope this is the case!

I shall let you know if I make a definite decision to change my blog name, of course ;-)

Hope you are all well and had a great weekend/are having a good week!

I will post about my weekend (sister's 21st Birthday Weekend) soon...

Reflecting and Boots Star Gift of the Week

Hey ladies :)

So, I've been out tonight to start Donna's 21st Birthday celebrations and it is now gone 4am and I am in one of those reflective moods...also tired, and in need of sleep before driving to Blackpool tomorrow afternoon :) So excited!

Anyway, Thursday night (as previously mentioned), me and Donna went late night shopping in Telford. We went to Boots and I noticed that the first Star Gift of the Week (Hugo Boss Women's Gift Set) was on it's last day...I panicked and asked the sales assistant what was next, she couldn't say, but said it was to be revealed the next morning (Friday). I asked the main question 'Is it the Soap & Glory set???'...and she replied 'No, I can't say what it is, but that shouldn't be 'til a few weeks before Christmas!', PHEW! So, I was expecting something less exciting...BUT, today I popped to Boots and discovered what the new SGotW is....
Frontcover Style Queen Make-up Colour Set
£35, reduced to £17(!!) - FOR ONE WEEK ONLY!

SERIOUSLY?!?!?

£17 for all this?!?!

and the brush set?!

WANT.

So now, going away for the weekend I have a mission, save £17 from my drinking/eating budget so I can treat myself to this!!! :) Think, not drink!

After this evening I don't particularly want to drink anymore anyway! I'm getting all grown-up and sensible in my 'old age' lol! I set myself a budget of around £50 drinking money for tonight in town, tomorrow night in Blackpool and Sunday in Liverpool...then looked at it and thought 'that is £50 I am never going to get back...!'...when I could spend £50 on nice things which last a long time! YES...I am getting all mature and deep, lol. Tonight I took out £15 and have NOTHING left! Thankfully I blagged drinks, shots and bottles of bubbly in town, but now I think 'I feel pretty crappy!!'. I am not drunk, just feel a bit bleurgh...and with my tummy problems I can't help but think I am going to pay for this in the morning!

Well...£35 left in the 'drinking budget', and no desire to drink any more! That means around £35 to spend on nice things :):):)

Anywhoooo...enough rambling from me.

Have a fantastic weekend ladies :)

Just General Ramblings and Lush Stuff :)

Hi girlies :)

Hope you are all had a good evening! I watched 'Hayley: World's Oldest Teenager' earlier and was very moved by it. What a brave girl she is! and then some trash and fake people on Big Brother...

Earlier, after work, me and Donna went to Telford for a quick 1 hour late night shop. I had to go to Lush (as we don't have one in Shrewsbury - boo!) to get a present for my friend Kelly's 21st, from work. I am chief present-buyer in the office! So, as I know Kelly hasn't had anything from Lush before, I decided to get her something lovely from there :) I can't say what it is, in case she reads this before work give it to her on Tuesday!! But...the helpful girl in Lush kindly gave me 2 sample pots of Snow Fairy, which was a nice treat! Also, check out their Christmas carrier bags...cute! I was so much from that shop.

The sample pots are quite generous :)

I also had time to dash to Primark as they were 5 mins from closing and grabbed another pair of the white £3 loafers that I recently posted about (as a back-up pair!) and a pair of standard long, black leggings.
£3 each

In between these shops we found a few minutes to go to Topshop and I tried on the Allegra boots...which it seems EVERY blogger seems to have/be lusting after! Now, I usually don't like to follow the crowd and like to be different, BUT...I like these somewhat, they are comfy and nice for Winter!! Hmm... I've seen a few other alternatives around.
£75, Topshop

I also spotted these...
£58, Topshop

How gorgeous these were in the shop, with the gold glitter hearts sparkling :)

That's all for tonight.

Tomorrow is the Official start to my little sister, Donna's 21st Birthday Celebrations :) and it is going to be EPIC!! I am now off work til next Weds, which is great!

The Agenda for the weekend is as follows:

Fri: Girly pamper day, shopping and nail salon (my first time!)
Partying round Shrewsbury at night!

Sat: Blackpool!!!!!

Sun: Liverpool!!!

Mon: Alton Towers Scarefest!!

Tues: Just a day off to catch up on lost sleep lol!

I am Chauffeur for the weekend, driving from one place, to another each day.

I am TOO excited :):):)

So, forgive me if I don't get chance to blog for the next few days :) But there will be a BIG post on my return ;-)

If I don't get round to blogging til next week, I hope you all have a great weekend!

xXx

I really like the smell of this :)

I have yet to try these!

 These are FAB!!

I put the eye make-up wipes to the test after a night wearing heavy, dark eye make-up and sure as, they removed everything nicely...
Recommend.

For information on prices and offers on these products, plus where you can get them, see my last post ;-)

Hope you are all having a good week, we are at the half-way point...it's nearly the weekend, haha :)
