WONDERful MAC

On Friday I was a very excited girly when a delivery arrived at the office, just 26 hours after ordering!

WONDER WOMAN!!

I opened the box to find bright yellow Selfridges packaging. It looks nice and everything but now I am left to dispose of the vast amount of paper that came in the box. (I work at an environmental consultancy and run the company recycling website, so I notice these things!).

On opening the yellow packaging to reveal the Wonder Woman packaging I love I was even more excited.

The lipsticks looked darker in the tubes, but when I swatched them they came out light, phew!

                                                

Above is me wearing Spitfire. Excuse the make-up being not-so-fresh and slight smudging under eyes, I had just got home from a night out in town and couldn’t wait any longer to try Spitfire!

Russian Red – I worried about this as I thought it might be really red and clash with my hair, therefore being abandoned until I change my hair colour BUT…I was pleasantly surprised! It is a nice red, which I think went quite nicely with the purple hair.

I wore this for a random day out yesterday and it stayed for the whole few hours I was out exploring old airfields in woodland, until I had to wipe it off when it came to eating my tea J. The next test was staining, but the lipstick was not too resistant to a good old make-up removed wipe. The lipstick did feel quite dry on my lips after a while, but nothing a gloss wouldn’t fix.

Overall I am very impressed with the lipsticks and still plan to purchase Marquise’d and the Mighty Aphrodite powder blush next Thursday when MAC release the collection J If I can get my hands on the blusher before it sells out again!

MAC Wonder Woman

The wait is over! MAC Wonder Woman collection was released today at Selfridges. I was unaware of the early release exclusively to Selfridges until I spotted a status on Selfridge's Facebook yesterday, so I had to use my last bit of money, my savings! Pay day Monday, could have been sooner ideally...

However, the collection is to be released at MAC on 3rd March, so that's 2 weeks more waiting, saving and hoping that the other bits I want are in stock!

I think the whole collection is quite cool looking, and I am particularly a fan of the packaging, the boxes are so cute! How sad does that sound??? Due to the prices though I am only planning to get a few items.

The items on my Wish List are:

Mighty Aphrodite Powder Blush

Marquise d' Lipstick (left on picture below)

Tote Bag and/or T-Shirt

Today I bought 2 lipsticks. I intended to buy the Mighty Aphrodite Powder Blush but it was out of stock by 9:00am!! I have had a look on Selfridges just now and quite a few of the products have sold out!

The lipsticks I got were Russian Red and Spitfire (middle 2 on picture below). Both look gorgeous and I can't wait to receive them, now I have to wait impatiently until the Estimated Delivery Date of 24th February...1 whole week to wait, sob!

I hate when pay day is after the weekend, it means the weekend is always a struggle on next to no money, and in the case of this weekend, I would have loved to go to Selfridges to see the products and display but that's not happening with my non-existant funds :-(

I am considering using my final days leave from work (until end of leave year, end March) to book off the release date, 3rd March and make an early morning trip to Birmingham, Liverpool or Manchester. After all, I've been wondering how to use that 1 last day up! It'll be Deja Vu of my experience when the first Paul's Boutique Barbie bags came out...ooooh what a fun time I had that day... But I came home with 3 bags (2 for me and 1 for my sister), as well as a big grin on my face :-D

Also, whilst having a quick peak on the USA MAC website the homepage displayed a large photo of Gaga, advertising the new Viva Glam Gaga II, just released today in America...that may be added to my Wish List for whenever it arrives over here. Nice colour and money goes to help AIDS. I still want the first Viva Glam Gaga but haven't got round to buying it yet. My MAC collection is growing slowly, started with the AMAZING Disney Venomous Villains Maleficent Violetta lipstick, then Nicki Minaj Pink Friday, now Wonder Woman. Addiction ahead??????

Paw Print Nails & OOTD Post

I admit...I really am rubbish at keeping this blog up to date!! BUT, I do have valid reasons, those being that uploading photos is currently a painful process!

My phone connector does not work, neither does the internet on my laptop, or the memory card readers on the family computer...SO, to upload photos I have to put them from memory card on to work laptop, then burn to discs, then get on the computer when it is free and upload. With hundreds and thousands of photos this takes a LONG time. I hate it : ( I should be getting an iPhone 4 this week on upgrade (YAY!), plus I plan to buy myself a new laptop soon. So then I will be happy, photos will get uploaded to my Facebook more often and this blog SHOULD be up to date ; )

Aaanyway, enough of the blah blah blah...

Today I got creative with my nails. Finally using my Rio nail art kit I got for Christmas and a pretty easy design...paw prints!

Today I decided to wear animal print, to go with the paws ; ) I am bored of wearing leggings and jeggings so decided to get the Maxi skirt out, teamed with a belt I have had since I was about 13...and haven't used since then! Same applies with the corduroy handbag.

I planned to go shopping in Telford, but due to lack of funds and the rubbish weather I didn't, so instead just went to the retail park and bought a nail varnish from Boots with my Advantage Points...don't you love them?! I got 17 Lasting Fix in Midnight Sapphire. I will blog about this when I test it (I can't right now due to the paw prints).

As you can see...I am no longer blonde! So my blog name currently doesn't quite fit anymore, but deep down I am blonde and always will be! And I shall return to blonde, I just fancied a change, and a DRASTIC one at that! Post about purpleness to follow soon...

Sunday 1-Hour Spree

Yesterday I fancied a bit of a shop. I had been thinking of venturing to Liverpool again (after being amazed at the beginning of January!), but due to Saturday night, I wasn't feeling quite up for the hour and a half drive!

So, left things a bit late and then decided to go to Telford (which is about 10 mins drive up the M54). Less petrol, and only £1 parking.

I had a small list, and just about 1 hour to run from store to store!
I think I did pretty good, got most things off my list...and a load of extras...! All was well, until I worked out how much I had actually spent :-|

SHOES!!!!

So I have SO much to blog about but need to get round to doing it, as well as sorting photos! I went shopping 3 weeks ago and STILL haven't even took things out of the bags! That's how bad I am at delaying!

I'm currently having a nosey on the Schuh website, after receiving an email the other day about these amazing shoes being back in stock due to popular demand. Well...it seems they have since sold out, again!

I am a lover of pretty, sparkly shoes, and in particular, platforms. I have around 10 pairs of glittery shoes and my beloved thigh-high black glittery boots (which I wear at every opportunity!). As well as being a lover of shoes in general with over 108 pairs!

I really want these shoes, though they are a bit pricey, at £62. And I currently have NO money to buy myself any more treats until payday! They might be back in stock by then...

I'm still looking around the Schuh website at the moment, whilst I blog. I'm thinking this is a dangerous thing to do as I am particularly drawn to all the Irregular Choice shoes! I have one pair, which I bought YEARS ago, Pink Bitches pumps. I shall take a photo and post soon! The thing about Irregular Choice shoes is that they don't go with much, and when you are like me and always wear colourful things, patterns etc, it is difficult to wear such funky shoes with much! Which is probably why I am so drawn to them, because they are so crazy and stand out! I love the funky designs and how different they are :-)

Welcome to my blog :)

I'm new to this whole blogging thing.

My name is Zoe, I'm 23 years young and from the Town of Flowers (aka Shrewsbury, Shropshire).

I decided to make this blog as I am always shopping: make-up, nail products, clothes, shoes, accessories...all the usual girly things and thought I would share my findings. I am a sucker for good deals (3 for 2's, free gift set if you spend X amount etc) so I am always looking for these and shall blog about them too!

I am a spendaholic, my mother tells me I have TOO much and to be fair, my room is currently a very, VERY messy boutique! A friend once walked into my room and said 'Oh My God, it's like Barbie spewed up in your room!!'. As you will tell in time, I like Barbie, pink, glitter and all that kind of dolly stuff!

I am also the proud owner of somewhere just over 108 pairs of shoes at last count :)

I will also blog about various other things in between, like music, bands, gigs and just about anything that interests me. 30 Seconds to Mars...if you haven't heard of them I recommend you check them out! I <3 them.
